Unlike conventional filters that rely predominantly on pore size, Ahlstrom Disruptor® uses electroadsorption to attract and capture microscopic contaminants as water passes through the filter.

Drink directly from the source
Place the base of the straw into a river, stream, creek, lake, rainwater supply or tap water and drink through the mouthpiece.

Use the extension straw
Connect the included extension straw to reach water that is difficult to access directly.

Connect it to a bottle or tap
Attach the filter to a bottle or tap with a suitably sized, compatible threaded opening. Squeeze the bottle manually or allow gravity to draw the water through the filter.

Before first use:

1. Remove the silicone caps from the top and bottom of the straw.
2. Submerge the base of the filter in water for 10–20 seconds to prime it.
3. Place your mouth over the mouthpiece and sip firmly until water begins flowing.

After each use:

• Blow through the mouthpiece to remove remaining water.
• Unscrew and remove the internal filter.
• Rinse the filter and other components with clean water where possible.
• Reassemble the straw and store it in a clean, protected location.
• If the filter will not be used for more than 48 hours, remove it and allow it to air-dry before placing it in a sealed bag in the refrigerator.
